I am a Brazilian media artist and designer with a multidisciplinary background formation. I was born in '77 in the city of Belo Horizonte.
I graduated in Computer Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in 2001 and did postgraduate studies in Contemporary Arts at the State University of Minas Gerais (UEMG) in 2004.
I have been making artistic projects in various media such as graphic experimentations, urban interventions and interactive system programming. I’m a partner in Osso Studio, where we do graphic and web design and I coordinate a staff of 10 employees.
My recent personal projects integrate art and politics with references to advertising, activism and street and mail art (www.procurado.org). I have taken part in various shows, exhibitions and video and electronic art festivals around the world such as PocketFilms (Centre George Pompidou, France), Videobrasil (Brazil), Memefest (Slovenia), Arte.Mov - International Festival of Mobile Media Art (Brazil), Fluxus Online, FILE - International Festival of Electronic Languages (Brazil) and Vidarte 2002 (Mexico). I participate in 5vs1 (www.5vs1.net) a drawing collective made up of graphic artists and illustrators.
Since 2003 I have been working as creative director of Osso Studio (www.osso.com.br) doing graphic design, web design, programming, video design and illustration projects. I have coordinated not only communication projects for over 30 companies in Brazil and abroad but also various cultural projects in cinema, music and fine arts. In 1999 I founded the Mosquito Studio where I, together with three other partners, where, for four years, we developed commercial and experimental works.
